Takamatsuzuka Mural Museum is located next to Takamatsuzuka Kofun Tumulus. You can get all the necessary information at the Takamatsuzuka Kofun Tumulus.
In the Takamatsuzuka Mural Museum, there are two replicas of tumuli. Takamatsu tumuli are famous for men and women portraits (known as "Asuka Bijin"), which you can enjoy replicas. Also, you can enjoy the motif of gold and wood decorations, and Kaijyubudoukyou (marine animal mirror) which was excavated from Takamatsu Tumulus.
All of the replicas make you feel like you can actually enter one of Japan's national treasures (Takamatsuzuka tumuli).
Replica paintings are created by various famous Japanese painters under the guidance of Ikuo Hirayama. These replicas have become ways in which we can communicate with ancient people.
